TSST - Norfolk Success Stories
"I have always found teaching mathematics was a very enjoyable and rewarding experience. The TSST enhancement course which was organised at Wymondham College was an ideal stepping stone to move from teaching physical education to teaching mathematics. After attending the enhancement course at Wymondham College I decided to apply for a mathematics teaching job at a local academy and was successful with my first application for a full time mathematics job."
- Brian (PE Teacher)
"I took this course as I wanted to feel confident in knowing that I was truly qualified to teach maths. Since taking this course I have been asked by other members of my maths department for ideas on how to introduce and teach different topics and how to use the long neglected maths resources hidden away in department closets. This course was worth every weekend. It is a great opportunity to network, make friends and grow as a professional. "
- Brad (Biology Teacher)
"The first session was a little daunting as I did not know as much maths as the other participants but as the course progressed I became more confident in my dealing in mathematics. Throughout the course we have looked at various approached to teaching specific topics, the correct use of terminology and the various websites on offer with easy accessible resources.
I know I still have a lot to learn but without this course I would not have had the confidence to apply for jobs as a maths teacher and secure a full time maths teaching position in North Norfolk "
- Jo (PE Teacher)
