Wymondham College Prep School is a special place. Our vision is:

As Ofsted noted in their June 2023 visit, “Try Hard, Be Kind, Be You is not just a motto - it is the lived experience of pupils.' Our motto encapsulates our aim for all pupils to flourish during their time with us. We are ambitious for each and every one of our pupils and we do not shy away from placing a great emphasis on high academic aspirations as well growing in all aspects of each individuals’ social and emotional development.
Our unique offer is a result of the academic excellence of our concept and knowledge rich curriculum accompanied by our personal development programme that further enriches curriculum experiences way beyond a subject specific offer. We provide around 50 Enrichment Curriculum Activities (ECAs) a week that embed strong cultural capital to ensure our pupils are ready for the next stage in their education; academically, socially and emotionally. We pepper our academic calendar with numerous trips, experiences and visitors to the school that bring learning to life. Our school is rich with resources, which include a purpose-built Subject Specialist Room and we even have our own forest for our ‘Woodland Wonder’ programme that all children take part in each year of their time with us, focusing on individuals’ social, emotional and mental health.

We ensure that the relationships between staff and pupils, as well as between the pupils themselves, is of the highest standard and we give opportunity for our pupils to lead and to serve others.
We place a huge emphasis on personal responsibility and ensure our pupils have a voice in the life of their school. This includes a very active Pupil Leadership Team that are supported by Pupil Voice Reps from each class. Every Year 6 pupils is considered a leader and support their school by having roles such as playground partners, library leaders, wellbeing ambassadors, play leaders and eco warriors.
